It is difficult to get all of the dirt out of the braid but, it is possible. You should be using a clarifying shampoo. This will rid the hair of all unnecessary dirts and oils. Once you've washed your hair you will need to moisturize your scalp with a creme based moisturizer. You will also need to condition your hair as well.If there is still dirt in the braid take a small tooth comb and start at the end and comb little by little in an upward direction until you see the dirt start to loosen up.
