A Shaved Head, Hair Show, & Post Op Update

It’s pretty hard to talk about 3 subjects without sounding like I’m rambling, but I wanted to be sure to cover all three so…here goes! :-)

It’s Friday morning and I’m getting packed up to go to the Bronner Brother’s Hair Show. It’s been a while since I’ve been to their summer show and I can’t wait to get there. I hope to see you there so if you happen to see me, I’d love for you to introduce yourself!

I’m feeling great. I can breathe with no problem. My surgery went great. The hardest part was having my nose plugged for 2 days straight. I looked like Ms. Piggy from the Muppets! (I have the pics to prove it!) 8-). Once they removed the packing I was still a little swollen, but I felt so much better.

Now let’s talk about my shaved head…

So… after all the hoopla about my hair over the last few months, I went even more edgy and shaved my head. No, not all of it but one entire side and the back.

It took me a while to get used to it, but I like it a lot! It’s one of my favorite styles.

I know you to see some pictures, but you’ll have to wait until I get back from Atlanta because I’m going to do a video for you so you can check it out.

I’m really excited about next weeks video because I’ll also be showing you how to do a clipper cut in honor of my new hair cut!

    So glad to hear you are doing well and full of spirit about your new look….God is awsome and he will take gooood care of us. The problem with nmy hair has made me do the shaved look, of course the meds that I am taking for my athritis has some effect on my hair growth but I am well pleased to be on the earth and not in the earth. Hang on in there and do your thing.

    hello marquetta-blessings  unto  you and yours glad to hear all is well ””i kno is there all the time”no matter what comes across our path;i can testify to that;; i was in a motorcycle accident back in oct’ of last year 2 broken ribs collar bone ;skull fracture’ never saw it or felt it when it happen just wakeing up in the hospital’ is all iknew;;MyGOD IS””””’but from that i also cut my hair ””had a bald area where my head contacted the rd after my helmet came off; its covered now but not as long as the rest;im all natural no define shape just letting it do  what it do”’ wash n go’ it took some getting use to but its growing on me’lots of compliments;; think ill play with it a while”’so  blessed we all are

    Good morning!  Like many, I have not been keeping up with the blog and therefore did not know about the surgery.  What I DO know is that God will take care of us, as is evidenced by your successful recovery.  Continue to stay in His word, His will, and be all He will have you to be and there will never be a need to worry.  I have two beautiful daughters who shaved their heads this summer.  As an older mother it took a minute to get used to the idea, but now that I have, they are beautiful and get stopped all of the time by people admiring their look.

    Enjoy the show, enjoy safe travels and hurry back with pictures.  The best of God’s blessings to you!

    I hope you really enjoy the show and glad the surgery went okay. I sympatize with you because due to an illness I lost my hair in the top of my head, which is one of the reasons that I want to come to your class.  I cannot afford it and I am saving my money so that I can at least buy it and learn from the videos.  I have always had hair, and losing my is the most traumatic thing that has ever happened to me.
    Can’t wait to see the photos!

    sadden I won’t be able to attend. But I will be closer to your area to attend some seminar, conference…I appreciate I can take part in a great atmosphere of positive business elegance…and I don’t have to be in cosmetologist. I just love it as a hobby and if  make money I’m with that. Its calming, and keeps thing interesting…lol I can’t wait to see you hair, an acquaintance of mine did the same thing and yes, its something to get use to but to do it yourself I look forward to the video.
