What you don’t know about braid care and maintenance can hurt you. In fact, I recall a time when I was nearly in tears because I made some common mistakes in regard to caring for my braids. Last Friday I received my June/July issue of Sophisticates Black Hair Magazine. I always get excited when I get any type of hair magazine in the mail.

Natural hair salons are popping up all around the country for people who have decided to go natural and leave the relaxers alone.

I think that’s a great thing, and I applaud all who choose to do so. But one thing that bothers me is when I hear women say‚ “It’s just a Fad!”

Last night I took the kids to meet their teachers at school.

It was quite interesting and fun!

One of my close friends called me the other day just to chat and catch up. One of the things we ALWAYS take about is our hair. She’s been natural for years now. At the time she went natural I also went natural, but later decided to relax my hair.
