All About Quick Weaves
How many times have you sat in a salon for what seemed like an eternity, waiting to get your hair done? Once you get in the chair, you typically have to wait another 1 or 2 hours just to get a relaxer or cut and style.
Because it's quick and low maintenance, a Quick Weave can be the "break" you need in your hair care routine. And because they can be worn short, long, curly, straight or wavy, Quick Weaves are among the hottest new hair trends today.
What is a Quick Weave? It's a type of full-head weave - minus the time it takes to do an actual full-head weave. In order to create a flawless Quick Weave, the stylist must first create a canvas by slicking the hair straight back with gel. The client must then sit under the dryer until the hair is completely dry. Tracks are then applied using bond, and the hair is styled accordingly.
Quick Weave Tips
If you're considering getting a Quick Weave, you'll need to remember a few things: 1) Choose your hair wisely 2) Be sure to get it done by a skilled professional and 3) Choose a low-maintenance style.
Since your hair still needs proper care and maintenance, it's important not to wear your Quick Weave for too long. Also, be sure to use a bond remover when you're getting ready to take your Quick Weave out. Always take the time to read the directions and follow them to the letter, since not using the proper techniques and products can and will damage your hair.
Once you've removed your Quick Weave, be sure to shampoo and condition your hair using only quality products. This may also be a perfect time for a deep conditioning treatment.
